Sunday, May 4 11 am Worship Service |
We Need Each Other:
Guest speaker Dan O’Rourke asserts that to fulfill our human potential
and contribute to a better world we must tap into an energy and enabling
power, which many call God. We cannot, however, do this alone. We
need others. Dr. Albert Schweitzer, a missionary, doctor and theologian
wrote, “In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then
burst into flame through an encounter with another human being.” We are
called to enkindle this creative power in each other. In so doing we also
enrich our own lives and in Karl Menninger’s telling phrase help
“dilute the misery of the world.” UUCNC Choir meets promptly at 10 am to prepare for today's service. Silent Meditation will be held downstairs in the Grange at 10:15 am. Congregational Life Dialogs will be held after the service. A simple lunch and child care will be provided.

Gifts and Challenges:
Rev. Theresa Kime. Today -- on Mother's Day -- we'll explore some of the ways our mothers have shaped our lives. We will have the honor and blessing of dedicating children this Sunday. If you would like to have your child dedicated this day, please contact Rev. Terry Kime by Thursday, May 8. Silent Meditation will be held downstairs in the Grange at 10:15 am.

Sunday, May 18 11 am Intergenerational Worship Service |
Intergenerational Music Service:
Young and old alike are invited to this special service of music by the Choir of the UU Church of Buffalo, under the direction of Minister of Music Barbara Wagner! Supervised play will be provided in the front room for children who prefer that to sitting still during the service. Silent Meditation will be held downstairs in the Grange at 10:15 am. Finger Food Potluck will follow the service.

Remembering our Furry Companions: Rev. Theresa Kime. Our spiritual lives are aided by others -- as role models, guides, and companions. Today we'll look at how our pets help us be better people as we remember beloved companion aninals who have died. Please bring a photo or remembrance of a pet you have loved and learned from to place on our Memorial Table this Sunday. Silent Meditation will be held downstairs in the Grange at 10:15 am. Sacred Space Committee will meet after the service. Bring a sack lunch, if you wish.
